If you’re here, chances are that something in your life feels difficult right now. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or simply tired of carrying so much on your own. Whatever brings you here, I want you to know that you don’t have to figure it all out by yourself.
My goal is to create a space that feels safe, warm, and connected—where you can be yourself without fear of judgment. I believe that the relationship we build is one of the most important parts of therapy. I show up with integrity, openness, curiosity, and a good sense of humour because I believe healing happens when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted. What you see is what you get.
I don’t believe therapy is about fixing people. I believe it’s about understanding your story, making sense of your experiences, building on your strengths, and finding new ways forward. I draw from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), and trauma-informed approaches, always tailoring our work to fit your unique needs.
For more than 23 years, I have worked with children, youth, adults, and families in a variety of settings, including child welfare, education, youth justice, brain injury rehabilitation, autism services, separation and divorce support, and narcissistic abuse recovery.
When working with children and youth, I strive to make therapy engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate. Sometimes that means talking, and sometimes it means using play, activities, humour, or other ways for young people to express themselves and build skills. I help children and youth navigate big emotions, strengthen friendships and family relationships, build confidence, and develop healthy coping strategies. I also believe that parents and caregivers are often an important part of the healing process. When appropriate, I work alongside caregivers to help them better understand and support their child, creating lasting change both inside and outside of therapy.
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW), but more than anything, I bring a deep respect for the resilience people show every day, even when life feels overwhelming.
Outside of the therapy room, I’m a proud mom to two adult sons and a Beagle named Shiloh. I love relaxing on my garden swing, discovering new coffee shops, and spending hours wandering through flea markets in search of hidden treasures. These simple pleasures help keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of connection, curiosity, and finding joy in everyday moments.
Reaching out for support takes courage. If you’re considering taking that next step, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you as we work toward healing, growth, and the life you want for yourself and your family.
