about-me

MACP, RP

Life can feel heavy when it seems like nothing you try makes a difference. Maybe you’ve been told your struggles are a “disorder,” or you’ve been given labels that felt more limiting than freeing. Perhaps you’ve felt pressured to fit into boxes that don’t reflect your lived reality. In this space, you are not reduced to a diagnosis, worksheet, or stereotype—you are met as a whole human being.

I believe all of us make sense when we look at the bigger picture of how our brains, emotions, and relationships develop. My approach begins with understanding how all brains adapt to what life has asked of them. Your history and experiences help explain why you feel stuck today—not because you are broken, but because your emotional world has a logic of its own. Together, we can uncover that logic and discover new ways forward.

I welcome both individuals and couples and often work with people who identify with or are exploring neurodivergence—including ADHD. Sometimes this shows up as struggles within yourself, stress in your relationship, or the ups and downs of parenting children or supporting adult children with ADHD. Wherever it appears, my goal is to create space for hope and growth by replacing shame with compassion and confusion with practical understanding.

A large part of my work is devoted to couples therapy. Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help partners caught in cycles of conflict or distance uncover the deeper needs beneath their struggles. Rather than blame or defensiveness, couples begin to experience new ways of reaching for each other—building safety, trust, and closeness again.

Diagnosis and medication can be powerful tools for healing, and I value the role they play in mental health care. In therapy, I offer something that complements this medical support: a space to explore your story over time, to understand how your experiences and relationships shape who you are today. This broader perspective often helps clients feel more fully understood and makes their work with doctors and psychiatrists more accurate and sustainable.

In this space, you are welcome exactly as you are whether you feel well or unwell, hopeful or overwhelmed. Positivity and joy have a place here just as much as pain and uncertainty. This is a space where you can take off the mask and be fully human.

As a Registered Psychotherapist with an MA in Counselling Psychology, I bring training in attachment, developmental, and trauma-informed perspectives. More importantly, I bring curiosity and care for who you are—not just what you’ve been through.

Outside of therapy, I’m a husband and father of three, continually reminded of how relationships shape us and invite us to grow.

Reaching out takes courage. If you’re ready, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you—toward a life and relationships that feel more authentic, connected, and whole.
