about-me

RP (Qualifying)

I believe that one of the most important parts of therapy is the relationship we build together. Feeling heard, understood, and accepted creates the foundation for meaningful change, and I strive to offer a space where you can show up exactly as you are.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent 25 years working as a registered nurse in a variety of healthcare settings. Those years taught me the importance of meeting people with compassion, curiosity, and respect during some of life’s most challenging moments. They also gave me a deep appreciation for how closely our emotional and physical well-being are connected.

As a psychotherapist, I bring that same compassionate, person-centred approach to my work. My practice is grounded in an attachment-based, relational approach, which means I believe our earliest relationships shape how we see ourselves, connect with others, and respond to life’s challenges. Together, we’ll explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you develop greater self-awareness, strengthen your relationships, and create lasting change.

I support adults experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, life transitions, grief, burnout, and challenges with self-esteem. When working with couples, I help partners better understand the patterns that keep them feeling disconnected, improve communication, rebuild trust, and foster greater emotional closeness. My goal is to create a space where each person feels safe, heard, and understood as we work together toward a stronger, more secure relationship.

I recognize that reaching out for support can feel vulnerable, but I believe this vulnerability demonstrates courage, as you share your story, face difficult emotions, and invite someone into the parts of your life that may feel uncertain or painful. I am committed to creating a warm, collaborative space where this vulnerability is celebrated, and that healing and growth can happen at your own pace.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy finding balance in nature and in life’s simple moments. You’ll often find me spending a quiet evening at home with my dogs and a good Netflix series or making memories through adventures with family and friends. I believe these moments of connection, rest, and joy are an important part of well-being.
