At The Relationship Centre, we hear these words every day from people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, and ready for something to shift.

“I don’t know who I am or what I want anymore.”

“I feel overwhelmed with stress and anxiety all the time.”

“I don’t know if I should stay or leave my relationship.”

“Why do I keep repeating the same mistakes?”

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

EFT helps you identify and transform emotional patterns rooted in past trauma, fostering self-compassion and healthier ways of connecting with yourself and others. It supports emotional safety, regulation, and resilience.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

EMDR uses guided eye movements or bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess distressing memories so they feel less overwhelming. This evidence-based approach reduces the emotional charge of trauma and promotes lasting relief.

Internal Family Systems

IFS helps you explore and understand the different “parts” of yourself such as the protective, wounded, or critical parts, so you can heal inner conflicts and build self-leadership. By fostering compassion for all parts, you create greater harmony within.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

CBT helps you understand how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are connected. By identifying unhelpful thought patterns and challenging them, CBT gives you tools to shift your perspective and make more intentional choices to reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)

DBT combines the practical tools of CBT with mindfulness and acceptance practices. DBT teaches skills in four key areas: mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. It helps you balance acceptance of your current situation with motivation for change, making it especially effective for managing intense emotions and improving relationships.

Our Approaches to Individual Therapy

Helps partners reconnect by fostering deeper emotional understanding and attachment.
