Growing up isn't easy

Today’s teens are navigating more than ever. Academic pressures, social comparison, identity struggles, mental health challenges, and big emotions they may not fully understand. As a parent, you want to help but it’s hard to know how. You might feel like you’re walking on eggshells, constantly in conflict, or unsure what’s “normal” teen behaviour and what needs more attention.

We offer teens a safe, non-judgmental space to talk openly, learn how to manage their emotions, and feel more confident in who they are.

We also support parents in understanding and connecting with their teen.

"I just want to help, but I don’t know how."

"They’ve changed, and I don’t know why."

About The Relationship Centre

At The Relationship Centre, we believe that teens deserve support that meets them where they are, with empathy, respect, and honesty. Our therapists are trained to build trust with teens while offering practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. We also support parents because healing and growth happen best when everyone feels seen and supported.

Additional Family Therapy Services

Therapy For Young Children

Our work with young children is play-based with parents included in the sessions. Children engage in play with the therapist using books, art, and toys to gently explore emotions and experiences.

Therapy For Parents

Parenting is hard, especially when you’re trying to meet everyone’s needs while navigating your own stress. Therapy can give you tools to better connect with your child and support your family.

Therapy For Separation & Divorce

We help parents navigate the emotional challenges of separation or divorce while supporting their children through the transition, from co-parenting strategies to helping kids express feelings safely.

Affordable Therapy

Quality care shouldn't be out of reach. We offer therapy at reduced rates with skilled interns and associates because everyone deserves support.

Virtual Therapy

Professional support from the comfort of your own space. We offer secure online sessions that make it easy to prioritize your mental health anywhere in Ontario.

"Behind every young child who believes in themselves is a parent who believed first."

FAQ's About Teen Therapy

Yes, within legal and ethical limits. Teens need a space to be honest, and we’ll work with both you and your teen to set clear expectations around confidentiality.
Parents are involved at the beginning and throughout the process, with guidance from the therapist. We’ll keep you informed while also respecting your teen’s need for privacy.
No. We protect your teen’s privacy to build trust, unless there’s a safety concern. However, we do include you in the overall process and share strategies to support your teen.

That’s common. Our therapists are experienced in gently building rapport with reluctant teens. Often, once they feel heard, they become more open to the process.

Therapy can still be helpful. Change in one part of the system often affects the whole. We’ll work with whoever is willing to start.

It depends on your teen’s needs and goals. Some see improvement in a few months; others benefit from longer support. We customize the therapeutic process to your teen’s unique journey.
Yes. We often help teens manage school stress, performance anxiety, motivation issues, or social challenges related to their school environment.
