“Connection is the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued.” — Brené Brown

We all need to connect with ourselves and feel a sense of belonging with others to thrive.

When it’s disrupted, we suffer in many ways; loneliness, anxiety, depression, turbulent relationships, trauma, or addiction.

Our experienced team of therapists work with kids, teens, adults, and organizations to heal these vital connections, helping you love better and live fully.

Match with a Therapist

At The Relationship Centre Kingston, our experienced team helps clients manage anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges with care and expertise.

Trauma-Informed Care:

Trauma-Informed Care recognizes the impact of past trauma on your current well-being. It ensures that therapy is conducted in a way that is sensitive to your experiences, helping you feel safe and supported while you heal.

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR):

MBSR teaches you how to reduce stress through mindfulness practices like meditation and deep breathing. It’s a helpful way to stay grounded, reduce anxiety, and improve your overall well-being.

Solution-Focused Therapy:

This type of therapy focuses on finding solutions to current problems rather than digging into the past. It’s a great approach if you want to quickly identify practical steps to improve your situation and move forward.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT):

EFT is designed to help you understand and improve your emotional connections with others, particularly in relationships. It’s often used to build stronger, more positive bonds.

Approaches Used By Our Kingston Therapists

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT):

CBT is a practical, goal-oriented therapy that helps you identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviours. It’s like training your brain to think differently, which can help you manage anxiety, depression, and other challenges more effectively.

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT):

DBT combines cognitive-behavioural techniques with mindfulness practices. It’s especially helpful if you struggle with intense emotions, teaching you how to manage them better and improve your relationships.

Interpersonal Therapy (IPT):

IPT focuses on improving your relationships and how you interact with others. It’s particularly helpful if you’re dealing with depression or other mood disorders and want to work on how you connect with people in your life.
